About Me

My name is Gail Miller and I live in Maynard, Massachusetts with my husband, Mike, and our Spanish Water Dog, Ginger. Our daughter Sophia is a sophomore at Wagner College on Staten Island.

Travel has always been a big part of my life. Family vacations as a child took us to Alaska and Africa and Australia / New Zealand / New Guinea, as well as more "normal" places like Europe and the National Parks here in the US. As an adult I got to tag along with my parents (who showed me what adventuring looks like) to more remote places like trekking the high Andes in northern Peru, Antarctica, the rain forests of Costa Rica and Colombia, and rafting the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon three times (1981 with my parents, 2000 with my husband, Mike, and 2011 with Mike and our daughter).

I've enjoyed two sabbaticals during my career as a pastor, and of course, these were opportunities to travel to far away places: Holden Village in the northern Cascade Mountains of Washington State (2002-2003), and Cape Town, South Africa (2014, blog here).

Now that I'm retired, a new season of adventure awaits! This blog will be the best way to follow my travels and join in our family's adventures!
