This morning the moon decided to join Mt. Kazbegi in greeting us:
As we drove down the valley out of the mountains, we made a pit stop.... Apparently, America isn't the only one who runs on Dunkin' - Georgia does too!

We drove 3 hours down out of the mountains to the city of Mtshketa. Our first stop was an 11th century cathedral which was the Eastern Orthodox religious center of Georgia for centuries. Legend has it that Christ's shroud was buried here and so it is a pilgrimage destination.
